About Massuri

Massuri was created from a passion of timeless creations that flatter and complement the modern-day female silhouettes.

The clothing is both ethical and sustainable.
I go to great lengths to ensure that my designs are one-of-a-kind and that the fabric (and pockets) is the star of each garment. My philosophy is to stick to hand-made, limited edition garments that are natural, sustainable and locally produced in beautiful Byron Bay. I am also super conscious of the impact we have on our environment and about minimising our footprint, especially in my local area where I work and live.

My Values

As a woman, I can relate – I know how incredibly important it is to feel confident and stylish as our bodies change with age – so I work hard to produce creations that flatter and complement all body shapes to maximise each client’s inherent beauty, because every woman deserves to feel beautiful!

And did I mention my love of pockets!!! As a designer I have realized the need of pockets so most of my dresses have pockets and some unique form of detailing, such as buttons, pleats, darts, yokes, etc.

In a world where mass production is king, I think it has become more important than ever to promote processes that are ethical, and transparent; processes that celebrate our local talent and champion the sustainable practices that allow us to produce products that are unique, timeless, stylish and individual.

Galit Cutting Designs
My Story

As a young girl I was always curious about textiles and design spending many hours reconstructing vintage finds. At the age of 15 I began sewing classes and started to create my own patterns from scratch. From these humble beginnings, I continued to study pattern making and gaining knowledge and insight from local seamstresses I worked with.

I am so blessed to live and work in beautiful Byron Bay! It’s an endless inspiration.

I feel even more blessed because I can follow the journey of each garment from conception to completion, all within the local area of Byron Bay. Designs begin in my solar powered studio, then travel to my cutter who lives locally and also runs his business on solar energy. They then move to a seamstress, once again supporting a local member of the Byron Bay community. Massuri further supports local business in areas such as advertising, printing and marketing.
